I wanted to create a visual representation of how many sounds are created in my living room, like who it's coming from, what's causing them, and the intensity of the sound! I managed to compile these 3 elements using lines, dots, and colors. I used an analog clock to display when these sounds occured and used a gradience to signify the intensity of the sound. All the squiggles are Beings and the Dots represent intensity of sound/ appliances.

My goal was to tell a story with sound, so I added specific details to my visual, for example; when 2 squiggles run on top of each other they are squabbling, if they run side by side together all is well. The abundance of dots in a section conveys just how loud that moment was. It was important to me that I made it clear that this depiction of my living room is the way I perceive it

People - Family, chappie and occasionally guests

Flora & fauna - plant stand with 6 plants on it, spider plant, sake plant,
yucca, monsteras, peperomia, dieffenbachia 

Physical/built elements/objects - 2 sofas, love seat and 3 seater, coffee table, photo case shelf thing, chappies mat and bowls, carpet, blue curtains, big painting, tv, speakers, ottaman

Materials and surfaces - soft velvety feeling couches, soft plushy carpet, ottaman for a coffetable, leathery ottoman, hardwood coffee table, hardwood photo case, 

Temperature - cooling at night and a little warm in the day

Light - bright in the day unless the blue blackout curtains are drawn in all the way then its very dark, when cooking its very bright every light in the world is switched on, movie time all lights are swithed off, casual eating and watching tv time only 2 lights are on. Central living room light is a warm colour, it spotlights on the painting making it look extra cool.
